Monroe County Family Court Judge Pamela Moskwa - co-chair of the Active Balanced Community Initiative Team closed the final meeting of steering committee (06-23-2010) recognizing that the goals of the Balanced and Restorative Community Grant under which ABC was established had been met, the funding had been appropriately managed and the ABC programs had become embedded in the community. Those involved in the ABC Initiative examined our community, obtained grants, raised awareness, changed attitudes and expectations, gathered, analyzed and utilized community data to create ideas and programs which will carry on beyond the initial grant. It has been established that the future of the ABC philosophy, data collection and oversite of projects has been embraced by the Human Services Collaborative Network (HSCN). Thanks to all of you, our community is a better place!
