“I Pledged”

Be a Responsible Driver

Active Balanced Community representatives attended the graduation practice for all of the schools except Monroe High – where representatives attended the after-graduation event (Club 09).
Graduates were asked to sign a pledge to drive responsibly – obey the speed limit, wear their seat belts, don’t ride with anyone who has been drinking, don’t drive if too tired, and don’t talk on the cell phone or have other distractions.
In return, graduates were given an lanyard with I Pledged to drive responsibly and the Class of 2009 imprinted. Those signing the pledge were entered into a drawing for $20 gas cards. Two cards were given out at all of the schools, except Airport where three cards were given, and Monroe High and Bedford where four cards were awarded.
