Active Balanced Community (ABC) operated from 2004-2010. The information on this web site provides an overview of BARJ and the work that was done in Monroe County. ABC is an endorsed workgroup of the Human Services Collaborative Network.
The Monroe County Active Balanced Community Initiative was the continuation of the Building Restorative Communities (BRC) planning process. This Initiative was responsible for implementation of the Five-Year Plan created for BRC. Active Balanced Community was a collaborative initiative between the Planning Grant Steering Committee, the Human Services Collaborative Network (HSCN), the County of Monroe and the United Way Board of Directors.
