Data Collection

The Data Collection and Resource Assessment Committee

Monroe County Data

In April of 2005, the Data Collection and Resource Assessment committees merged.

The Data Collection and Analysis Committee is responsible for continued collection and monitoring of the data collected in the planning phase and to determine changes in the risk factor areas. They will also work to establish a county-wide data repository for the data collected.

This committee may determine additional data sources required and ask the Steering Committee to help move the county or other entities to provide access to the data.

This committee working with the BARJ committee may be able to determine the best manner to collect and analyze the data around the issues of gender difference and minority overrepresentation in order for the initiative to begin to address these areas and make improvements.

This committee will work closely with the Project Evaluator as needed regarding data to provide results measures for the project activities.

The Resource Assessment has the task of continued evaluation of best practices within the community. Prioritization and feasibility of implementation of various best practice programs will occur in subsequent years of the project. Recommendations for implementation will be made available through the Steering Committee to community leadership, including the multi-purpose collaborative body, the United Way, and the County.

It is planned that this committee will provide an up-dated annual assessment of the agencies, programs and program needs for Monroe County youth and families. Through the development of a web-based resource system, it is anticipated that assessments of resources and needs will be done on an annual basis. These assessments will again be shared through the Steering Committee to community leadership.
